Coverage status: honest first

This hub will become the chapter-by-chapter walkthrough for We Were Here Tomorrow. Right now, every area below is verification in progress. We publish an area guide only after it has been verified in the live game from both players' perspectives — and we never publish puzzle solutions, only navigation and method. Here is the current state:

Segment Area Status
Opening Norcek Verification in progress
Middle Exotic Matter Laboratory Verification in progress
Middle Particle Accelerator Terminus Verification in progress
Middle R&D Headquarters Verification in progress
Middle Temporal Research Centre Verification in progress
Finale TRC Construction Site Verification in progress
Finale Beyond the Rift Verification in progress
Finale Theta Splice / Rift Zero Verification in progress

The area sequence comes from the public trophy list (descriptions read in order), not from an official chapter breakdown — the game has not published chapters, and this site does not invent chapter numbers. "Opening / Middle / Finale" are loose groupings for navigation, not official acts.

Our verification method

A walkthrough that has not been played is fiction. Every area guide on this hub must clear three gates before it publishes:

  1. Played through in the live game, release build, not the April demo (the demo covered only the Norcek opening and has been delisted).
  2. Verified from both sides — each asymmetric role's view and abilities confirmed, since a guide written from one perspective is half a guide.
  3. Solutions excluded by policy — the guide covers where you are, what your objectives are, and how to think about the area's mechanics. Step-by-step puzzle answers are never published. The stuck-help guide is the spoiler-free companion for moments of difficulty.

Until an area clears all three gates, its row stays at "verification in progress." No exceptions, no half-filled entries.

The area map (from the trophy list)

What we can show today is the campaign's geography, inferred from trophy descriptions in sequence. Use it to orient yourself and to plan session breakpoints (see How Long to Beat):

  • Norcek — the opening area. Also the setting of the April 2026 demo (three co-op puzzles, one week only, now delisted — see the demo recap). If you played the demo, this ground will feel familiar, but treat demo knowledge as possibly outdated: six months separate the demo from release.
  • Exotic Matter Laboratory — early research area.
  • Particle Accelerator Terminus — mid-game facility area.
  • R&D Headquarters — mid-game facility area.
  • Temporal Research Centre — a major story milestone; the trophy list ties a "Knowledge Transfer" entry to restoring power here.
  • TRC Construction Site — late-game area.
  • Beyond the Rift — late-game area.
  • Theta Splice / Rift Zero — endgame area.

These are areas, not chapters, and the boundaries between them are ours for navigation — the game itself may structure them differently.

What each area guide will contain (when verified)

  • Where the area starts and what its objective is
  • The mechanics introduced and how the two roles divide the work
  • Navigation notes: how the two players' spaces relate
  • Collectible alerts (the plushies — see the trophies guide for why these matter)
  • A spoiler-free difficulty note: which areas pairs typically find demanding, once community data exists

How to use this hub mid-campaign

If you are currently playing and stuck, do not wait for area guides — use the stuck-help guide now. It is live, spoiler-free, and built for exactly that moment. This hub is for orientation and planning: check which area you are in against the map above, note the collectible alert for plushies in the trophies guide, and plan your next session breakpoint with the game-length guide.

A note on area boundaries: the eight areas come from the trophy list's description order. The game itself may group them differently, and where one "area" ends and the next begins in actual play may not match the table. Treat the map as a compass, not a contract.

Release order of area guides

Area guides will publish in campaign order — Norcek first, then forward — as each clears the three verification gates. The coverage table at the top of this page is updated with every publish; the date stamp on this page tells you when it was last touched. There is no fixed schedule: an area publishes when it is verified, not before.

What to use meanwhile

Bookmark this hub and check the date stamp. Area guides publish as verification lands — the table above is the single source of truth for what is ready.
